well my other blog is only 3 days old and has surpassed anything i could have hoped for this blog to be. but dont fret, all 17 of my followers, i will still post on this one as much as I normally did before. :)
currently my entire life.
This is written by my close friend. She is one of the strongest women I know. You should read her story, because life, death, depression… it’s something that is present in all of our lives, whether in our own selves or in someone else that is close to us.
I’d like to make a special note that the man whom the story is about, her father, was a police officer. And not that I’m directly saying maybe things would be different if he had a different profession, but I sure wish people understood that cops are more than just “assholes giving traffic tickets”. They’re out there witnessing and dealing with massive amounts of human tragedy and horrific violence so we civilians can live peacefully. They absorb so much of the horrible things in the world for the rest of us, for peace and order. And you’d be foolish to think that it doesn’t change their lives, and effect their families. Because at the end of the day, they’re just people. You don’t often understand the fragility of life until you see it getting broken down, and cops aren’t robots. It can, and does, happen to them too.
So on that note, read my friend’s story. She is so brave to share it with the world, and I hope she doesn’t mind me passing it along, because you should read it too.
